Tennessee Governor Faces Rare Decision in Death Row Case

Tennessee is approaching a death-penalty decision with unusual historical significance.

Christa Pike, who has spent approximately three decades on death row, is scheduled to be executed on September 30, 2026.

Her attorneys are asking Governor Bill Lee to intervene and commute her death sentence to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
