“Mrs. Whitmore, we’re just reconciling your husband’s file. Our records show he canceled his vasectomy consultation nine years ago and never rescheduled. Is that correct? We want to make sure his chart is accurate before—”
I sat very still.
“He never had the vasectomy?”
“There’s no record of the procedure with us or any affiliated provider. Just a canceled consultation. Is it possible it was done elsewhere?”
