Her message focused not simply on quitting substances, but on everything sobriety had allowed her to experience again—music, relationships, grief, laughter and ordinary moments of life.

Paris has also spoken publicly about Michael Jackson’s death.
In 2017, she said she believed her father had been murdered and described his death as a “setup.”

Michael Jackson died in 2009 after receiving propofol and other medications, and his physician Conrad Murray was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
For Paris, however, the subject has never been simply a famous criminal case.
She was a child grieving her father while millions of strangers debated his life, death and legacy.
