Master Leon did not answer.

He reset the mechanism and tested Emma again.

Then a small indicator moved into a position no one in the hall had ever seen before.

Master Leon slowly turned toward Adrian.

— Your Highness…

Adrian stood up.

The entire hall became silent.

— What happened?

The old master looked almost as if he did not trust his own eyes.

— She passed.

A wave of whispers exploded across the hall.

Several girls who had been laughing only moments earlier stopped smiling.
