The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that Presley’s death was pronounced at 9:45 a.m. on September 20, 2026, by responding paramedics. In a statement to People, the Medical Examiner’s office said the investigation remained ongoing and that only limited information was available at that stage. Santa Monica police are the investigating law enforcement agency.
Authorities have not said exactly when Presley became unresponsive or how long he had been dead before he was discovered.
